Refreshments and meals
Each day during registration, between 11/11.30h in the morning and 15.30/16.00h in the afternoon, coffee breaks will be provided in the Reception Room of the Ghent Expo Building.

Buffet lunch is served there as well between 13.00 and 14.00h. Your badge gives entry to the venue.
For the evening programmes and social dinner, we refer to the general programme in the following pages.

E-mail and other services
There is wireless internet access available in the conference building. The requirement however is that your laptop has a wireless adapter. Please contact the registration desk to buy access cards.
Phones, faxes, photocopies, printouts and disk copy or other processing will not be available at VSMM. Faxes may be sent from your hotel room.

Storage of equipment and/or luggage
Because the conference buildings are guarded, the equipment (computers, screens, …) for the info stands can remain in the Reception Hall during night.
Locked storage rooms are available. These rooms are accessible on request at the registration desk in the entrance hall.
On the day of arrival/departure, your luggage can be stored in these rooms.

Smoking
Smoking is strictly forbidden in the conference building.
You can have a smoke outside.

Excursions
Those who have booked the optional excursions to Ghent or Ename on Friday have been contacted personally. In case you have not registered but still would like to participate in one of the excursions, contact the registration desk.

Important security notice
Please, ALWAYS wear your conference badge within the conference venue, during the lunch breaks and at the evening programmes and bring with you an ID at any time.
You will not be allowed to attend the conference and have meals if you do not wear your badge, even if you are famous and there are plenty of people ready to identify you! You may also be asked by security personnel to give a proof of your identity as shown on your badge.
Outside the conference, have your passport or identity card always with you – do not leave it at the hotel, as you might need it for police controls.
In case of alarm, follow the directions of the staff personnel. They have been trained in the procedures to follow in case of emergency. Escape routes and emergency exits are clearly indicated. Do not collect your belongings and reach a safe place without panicking.
